By now, you know how to personalize AI with a Master Prompt. But there’s still one secret

that separates average results from game-changing ones: the way you write your prompts.

The Keller Williams AI Playbook* explains it best:

“Prompt engineering is the process of writing great instructions to consistently get the results you want from AI.”

In other words, the better you ask, the better the answer.

What Is a Prompt?

A prompt is simply your instruction to the AI. It can be text, an image, or even a file.

For example:

  • “Write a property description for a 3-bedroom home with a pool.”

  • “Summarize today’s housing news in plain English.”

  • “Create three Instagram captions about home staging tips.”

The Playbook is clear:

“Your job? Give it a well-designed prompt that triggers a consistent and desired response.”

The RICE Framework

The Playbook introduces the RICE framework to help you structure prompts:

  • R = Role – Tell the AI who to be. Example: “Act as an expert copywriter specializing in real estate.”

  • I = Instructions – Be clear about what you want. Example: “Write a property description in under 150 words, friendly and professional tone.”

  • C = Context – Add background details. Example: “The home is in Palm Beach, walking distance to the beach.”

  • E = Examples – Show sample outputs you like. Example: “Write in the style of my previous listings (then paste one).”

With RICE, you remove the guesswork and get better, more consistent results.

7 Hacks to Supercharge Your Prompts

The Playbook also shares seven hacks to make your prompts even stronger. Here are a few highlights:

  1. The Clarification Hack “Before the AI starts writing, command it to ask you clarifying questions to ensure it fully understands the task.”

  2. The Action Plan Hack “Turn a big, daunting project into a series of clear, manageable steps.”

  3. The Options Hack “Instead of accepting the first idea, ask the AI to generate multiple options, each with pros and cons.”

  4. The Second Opinion Hack “After AI provides an answer, ask it to act as a critic and find the weaknesses in its work.”

(And there are three more just as good so you’ll want to keep those in your back pocket!)

Real Estate Example

Here’s a full example using RICE + hacks:

Prompt: “Act as a real estate copywriter. Write three versions of an Instagram caption about the benefits of staging a home before listing. Keep them under 80 words, friendly, and educational. Ask me three clarifying questions first about the target audience.”

With this structure, you’ll get captions that are sharper, more engaging, and ready to post.

Final Thoughts

The more precise your prompts, the better your results. By using the RICE framework and adding hacks from the Playbook, you’ll get AI to deliver responses that sound less generic and more like you.
